Ms. Rice was charged and convicted in Florida State Court of a killing spree. Yet, her co-Defendant was undeniably the one who committed those crimes. The Government’s theory was that Ms. Rice was somehow a willing participant in this crime spree.
Mike and Jack break down the evidence and the trial. Like many cases, the evidence that was never put on by Ms. Rice’s defense team, and thus never heard by the jury, may have been the difference between a guilty and not guilty verdict. Mike and Jack also delve into numerous additional issues at the heart of that trial, including Ms. Rice’s post-arrest statements; the need for a motion for change of venue based upon the enormous pre-trial publicity; the need for psychiatric/psychological testimony; and the need for fact witness testimony to firmly establish that Ms. Rice was not even the type of person who would engage in such conduct.
