Top Federal Criminal Defense Lawyer Michael Leonard obtains not guilty jury verdict.
A federal court jury returned a NOT GUILTY verdict on all counts in favor of a client represented by Leonard Trial Lawyers on February 26 in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana (Judge Lund), after a nearly week long jury trial.
We were honored to represent the defendant, a young man from the Chicago suburbs with no prior criminal history, much less even an arrest or traffic ticket. From the beginning, we believed he never should have faced these federal drug conspiracy and distribution charges. After a three-year battle, he took the stand at trial, allowing the jury to truly understand him.
This outcome was a testament to his strength, as well as the unwavering support from his wonderful and supportive family and friends. There were many hugs and tears of joy following the verdict.
