Mr. Burke was convicted on racketeering and bribery related charges in a federal criminal case brought by the United States Attorneys’ Office for the Northern District of Illinois. Mr. Burke will appear for his sentencing hearing before Judge Virginia Kendall on Monday June 24, 2024. Mike and Jon discussed the federal sentencing process, and fielded a number of listener questions regarding what members of the public believed to be an appropriate sentence. In addition, Mike and Jon took a few minutes to remember federal court Judge Harry Leinenweber, who recently died. Judge Leinenweber had a nearly 40 year career on the bench and contributed mightily to the bench and the legal profession.
