Leonard Trial Lawyers Obtains Dismissal of All Claims in Sexual Harassment Case Against Former Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson

Leonard Trial Lawyers Obtains Dismissal of All Claims in Sexual Harassment Case Against Former Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson. In a lengthy written Opinion issued on March 20, 2024, United States District Court Judge Elaine Bucklo granted the summary judgment motion filed by Leonard Trial Lawyers on behalf of its client, Eddie Johnson. In dismissing all claims, the Court found that the parties engaged in what appeared to be a long-term consensual relationship. In a statement, Leonard Trial Lawyers attorney Michael Leonard, who served as lead counsel, stated as follows:

“Mr. Johnson is extremely pleased and grateful for the Court’s Ruling today dismissing Ms. Donald’s claims. The Court clearly got it right and applied a common sense analysis. Mr. Johnson has always owned up to and acknowledged that he engaged in a consensual  relationship with Ms. Donald. The Court rightfully found that Ms. Donald’s claims of sexual harassment were meritless under the circumstances presented – where Ms. Donald admitted in the litigation to engaging in acts, statements, and conduct that undeniably caused Mr. Johnson to reasonably believe that the parties were in fact engaged in a consensual relationship.”
